The Binge Town, a pan-India private theatre brand operating across Hyderabad, Bengaluru, Mumbai, Delhi, Visakhapatnam, Chennai and NCR, selling premium, high-intent booking experiences, needed leads that actually converted - not cheap clicks. We built the acquisition engine from scratch, then scaled it into a profitable full-funnel system.

The problem
The Binge Town had a high-margin, high-intent offer but no reliable way to fill its calendar. Earlier ad spend produced volume without quality - lots of form-fills, very few real bookings. The funnel leaked between click and confirmed enquiry, and tracking couldn't tell which campaigns actually drove revenue.
The diagnosis
The constraint was not reach. It was that the entire program optimised toward the wrong event.
- Campaigns were buying form-fills, so the platforms delivered the cheapest people willing to fill a form - not people ready to book a theatre.
- The journey between ad click and enquiry lost high-intent visitors, so even good traffic didn't convert.
- Without a measurement layer tied to bookings, there was no way to tell a profitable campaign from an expensive one.
The intervention
I rebuilt the lead-generation system around booking intent rather than raw reach, and put a measurement layer underneath it so every rupee was accountable.
- Structured Google Ads campaigns around audience testing, sharpened offer positioning and a fast creative-iteration loop.
- Tightened the landing-page and enquiry journey so high-intent visitors converted instead of bouncing.
- Ran daily CPA-based optimization - cutting losers quickly and pushing budget into proven angles.
- Layered Google Search and local intent on top once the core program was profitable, turning it into a full-funnel program.
The numbers
| Before | After | |
|---|---|---|
| Lead quality | High form-fill volume, very few real bookings | 19,000+ qualified leads the sales team could work |
| Return on spend | Unmeasurable - no booking-level attribution | 3× ROAS through the growth phase, 3.8× blended at scale |
| Channel mix | Paid social pushing reach | Full-funnel across Meta, Google Search, local intent and SEO |
| Decision speed | Monthly reporting, unclear cause | Daily CPA-based optimization against booking data |
Why it worked
Nothing here was a channel trick. Changing the optimisation event changed what the platforms went looking for, and fixing the enquiry journey meant the better traffic had somewhere to land. Only after both were true did adding Search and SEO make the program cheaper rather than just bigger.
What another founder can take from this
If your ads produce leads your sales team doesn't want, the problem is rarely the budget or the audience. It's that you are paying for the wrong action. Fix the event you optimise toward and the measurement underneath it before you add another channel.
The goal was never cheap leads. It was bookings the business could actually fulfil - profitably.
